Red plate performs planar motion without rotation thanks to two toothed belt drives. Tooth numbers of four pulleys are equal. Pink pulley is immobile. Two yellow puleys are fixed together.
Change of glass fixed cam profile gives various trajectories (an ellipse in this video) of the red plate.
The belt drives can be replaced by chain ones.
