The tedder is pulled by a tractor (not shown). Rotary motion of yellow wheels is transmitted to pin crank-shaft via a timing belt or chain drive. Pink crank, green conrod and blue bar create a four-bar mechanism. Complicated motion of green conrod lower ends (green curve) is used for tedding hay.
