Yellow slider translates along a zigzag line.
Blue slider of an ordinary slider-crank mechanism carries the yellow slider that can move in direction perpendicular to the motion direction of the blue slider. Violet pink fixed to the yellow slider moves along the zigzag slot of white stationary runway.
The zigzag line can be changed to any shape.
